Are you or members of your team (at RMG) mental health or behavioral health professionals?
No. We are community-builders framing resilience in the context of frontline mental & behavioral health support. RMG may introduce clinicians into the mix, as needed and upon request; however, as a rule, we are multi-faceted professionals capable of jumpstarting organizational and systemic change through transformational processes. We do not hold a clinical license. Please note that we do not claim to be therapists, because we believe there are qualified people out there—capable of assuming that expert role! RMG employs frontline methods to reduce stigma, build comprehensive and customized referrals, strengthen family and community, while introducing licensed, clinical social workers, art therapists, music therapists, psychologists, counselors, psychiatrists, etc.—into the mix.
We are frontline interventionists, “minding the gap” between community, organization, and providers of mental, physical and behavioral support. Therefore, we gladly defer to professionals and expert clinicians, because they are our allies and accept referrals as we shore up the frontline; in fact, we work hand-in-hand with supportive professionals!
Our role is clear: all paths lead to the expert providers of mental & behavioral health. We build the yellow brick road to licensed professionals capable of sustaining more robust mental health referrals. We fully support integration of the arts and mental and behavioral health using frontline interventions that are powerful yet foundational and non-clinical. We are highly skilled and trained to provide non-clinical interventions—all of which reinforce the expert role of clinicians in our community and around the world.
Is this a religious process?
No. However, there is a “sacred” process of becoming whole. We unabashedly believe that human beings are composed of a heart that must learn reverence and attunement—to be present, in a space of holistic healing. We embrace a central theme of becoming more humane and compassionate on four levels: mind/imagination, will/motivation, affect/emotion, and embodied experience. The human existence tightly knits together a body—with the heart, the mind, and the spirit.
We exist through connection—to: a power higher than ourselves (God); people in relationship with us (family & community); and our environment (creation and all living creatures). We operate on these core values which infuse the spiritually oriented themes we employ: the four Cs of Concern, Care, Compassion & Communication.
If your family, community or organization prefers to steer clear of exploring sacred practices, we will respectfully accommodate your comfort level.
